Some Dreams

Has God laid these dreams on my heart? I do not know. I know they are on my heart.


One day, I would like to have the opportunity to sing on stage again. Maybe even sing and dance.
I know I love an audience and I love to praise God with my voice and I would think He put that
on my heart. I know my voice is of average ability amongst singers, but that I excel at harmonizing
and am pretty good at sight reading. I would like the chance to use these gifts sometime in life.
I think that God has halted some of these plans because of the performance aspect and the
difficulty I've had with jealousy of other female singers or worship leaders. I think a lot of that
was cleared up when I was at Warehouse and I do have a much more willing heart to serve where
I'm needed. So, hmmmm.

My other dream probably has to do with having a horse ranch. I don't know if that's exactly the
dream, but I know I work well with horses and love them and would love to have a few at some
point in life. I like the idea of it being somewhere within a few hours of Mike and I's family so
that our babies could be around the grandparents. I would even like for the grandparents to
be able to babysit, but maybe it would be enough if they were just able to keep them while
Mike and I went on a weekend trip or a holiday.

An old dream of mine is to work at a summer camp. I was thinking at Camp Kanukuk. I just
always thought that would be such a fun time and really do wish I'd spent a summer doing that
in college. I think, now that I'm a mom, that there may be another opportunity for me to do that
one day, but maybe it will be for a week instead of for a summer. We'll see.

A fulfilled dream I have is to become a mom and stay home with my babies. I've got one amazing one
and am married to the man of my dreams. I think God can make dreams reality, especially if they're
from Him. I think He wants to give us the desires of our hearts.

I do also think God has made me to be an encourager, so I pray He will give me opportunities to encourage
people around me to do the things they're meant to do, to chase the dreams God placed on their hearts!
